i.

this is an independent and selective roleplay blog for the gossip girl's serena van der woodsen. i am not associated with svdw, blake lively, gg or the cw nor do i take credit for the creation of this character. all icons were made by me so please do not take them because they are made for this blog ONLY.

ii.

my serena doesn't have a default verse or season, it mainly just whatever i feel like at the moment, probably season 3 or 4 just bc my faves but if it's for a non gossip girl chara then it'll prob be in one of the older verses just bc it's easier with serena being in college than hs.
in my portrayal of serena, two of her meaningful relationships i decided to change up a bit. serena's endgame isn't dan, she never got back with dan after season 2; their relationship ended there and never resurfaced & her relationship with carter baizen was much longer than it was shown in the show, and was very serious for her.

iii.

as stated above, i am a SELECTIVE roleplayer. that means i only roleplay with those i am in a mutual follow with. PLEASE RESPECT THIS! that’s just how i prefer to run my blog. all of my starter calls, memes and whatever else is for MUTUALS ONLY! i will ignore you if you don’t follow this role.
i am also selective with following back, obviously, but most times i just don't check my followers but i try to every now and then. the only reason i will unfollow is if you've been inactive for over a week without a notice on your blog, if you reblog asks and if you don't cut your posts.

iv.

i do like the idea of being exclusive with another roleplayer and meanwhile i don’t tend to do that very often, i am very much open to having exclusive partners! with that being said though, it'll probably be rare that i am exclusive within the gg fandom ( with the expection of one ) simply because how small the fandom is and i'd love to rp with everyone but that also might change if we've plotted a lot, talk ooc and it's impacted how i portray serena.
with that being said i am exclusive with provendurable's carter baizen. i will not be roleplaying or shipping with any other carter baizen's.

okay this is important. I AM VERY, VERY, VERY SLOW WHEN IT COMES TO REPLIES!!!!! unless im really into the reply (it also might help if we talk ooc) i tend to be very good with not losing replies in my activity but yanno it happens but i know who i have a thread with and i usually go check once in awhile.

vi.

i love ships as much as the next person but i didn't create this blog just for ships and there's much more to serena than that. serena loves her friends and family so much and i honestly prefer platonic relationships over romantic ones (sometimes).
my main otp for serena is definitely her and carter, with her and nate in a very close second. i'm not a huge fan of her and dan but honestly if there's chemistry i'll most likely ship it so it all depends.

anything nsfw will be tagged accordingly. obviously i won’t be writing any material with anyone under the age of eighteen, if i even do write such material. i will also tag any triggering content that may appear on my blog. honestly, i never know if i should tag things or not so if i happen to not tag something that you find triggering PLEASE let me know!!!! i want your dash to be a safe place for you.

Anonymous: i hope this isn't a pain but i was wondering what pattern overlay / texture you're using on your background or how you create one? i'm new to photoshop and everything is suuuuper confusing. thank you in advance and no worries if you can't help :-)

_{aw definitely not a pain!!!!!! well i think i only used like four textures in my background and idr what texture pack i got them from but theyre all from itsphotoshop and i pretty much just pick out textures i want and then line them up and set it to either darken/screen and just mess with it.}
